once installed, enabling neon, vscode stays corrupt after disable.

installing this theme was no problem at all.

after enabling neon once ( this is a FRESH install on a new machine ), vscode always opens in unsupported/corrupted mode. even after disabling the neon and restarting.

additionally, in unsupported/corrupt mode, I am unable to properly quit vscode:

the warning dialog pops up ("there's an active terminal session running"), and i click ok, dialog disappears and the app is open in a weird/broken/non functioning state.

pretty gutted about this.

love this extension! love the new Neon handling.

The 'corrupted' message appears because the extension adds a single script tag to VS code's internal template. Disabling the plugin removes that tag, but VS code can still detect it has been changed which is why the message remains.

That's the first I've heard of it doing this though. Would you be able to give me any other info about your setup? OS, other extensions that might be installed?

I totally understand why the the message would remain. I appreciate you clearing that up though. It's just the inability to quit using cmd+q. ( i'll quit. but the windows stays open. vscode non functioning. app will fully quit after i click the red close button ( x ) ).

For me, this is what happened on Mac:

1. Installed.
2. Enabled.
3. Says "click to restart". Clicked.
4. Got error.

The glow wasn't enabled yet. Here's what I had to do to enable it:

1. Fully quit (I was able to CMD+Q).
2. Start VSCode.
3. Should be enabled now.

You're still going to get the error. When you do:

1. Click the settings icon on the notification.
2. Click "don't show again".

This may not fix the issue mentioned at the top as that's slightly different in that they mentioned you couldn't quit (weird?), but similar enough. Cheers!

not sure why my vscode won't quit properly. I do use a "confrim quit" package. but it's always worked perfectly, until i introduced this package to my editor. I can deal with a corrupt message ; what i can't deal with is the fact that once this is installed, you MUST delete all of vscode on your machine and reinstall. Uninstalling the package leaves vscode in a "corrupt" state, with or without the warning message on startup. I'm not sure why, but it also causes my app to be unable to properly quit. It's possible that the sequence of loading the script tags gets in the way of another script tag's process. total speculation.

I'm glad that other people have found a way to run this, and turn it on and off, without problems or (re)warnings
