Invitations are not sent when assigning guest speakers in a collaborative message #36

Closed robby1066 closed 3 years ago

Describe the bug

Guest speakers are supposed to receive an invitation letting them know there's a clip to record. When creating a Collaborative message, invitations appear to not be getting sent.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Go to Compose, then change the template to collaborative message
  2. Create a clip and assign it to someone else who already exists in the account
  3. Create the message
  4. Observe that the person you assigned the clip to didn't get an invite

Expected behavior

All people assigned clips (except the person creating the message themselves) should receive an invitation.

Additional context

This appears to be limited to invitations to existing users. If a person is getting invited for the first time, that works because it uses a different process.

This may have been a testing error. The test case was on a user who had been invited but hadn't yet accepted, which does not generate an invitation by design. Will verify the correct behavior with users in the correct state before closing

Verified that the test case was flawed. Closing
