This is what I read:

the account arguing with a journalist

Am I reading this wrong? Accounts don't argue. But I'm not sure how best to re-phrase it

I'm ok with this. Obviously there's a person behind the account, but the veneer that's visible to everyone else is the account and I still feel the language works fine.
