Note corruption: random characters are inserted by Nixnote #172

Expected vs. actual behavior

Expected: Unedited text doesn't change when syncing a note

Actual: Additional characters appear in parts of a note not edited by user.

Steps to reproduce the problem (or log file)

  1. Put the following into a note in Nixnote: ÂÂ
  2. On Android Evernote, add a new line: fdsafdsa
  3. Sync back in Nixnote and see that extra characters have appeared in the first line, something like: ÂÂÂ

The initial Capital A with a squiggle or hat appears seemingly randomly, and then multiplies upon each sync.

This also seems to occur with any non-ASCII character, eg fancy 66 or 99 style double-quotes, or medium or long hyphens.

This often happens when copy/pasting from the web.

I can't use nixnote2 as it's corrupting my notes. Were you able to reproduce this bug?
