What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Record video using demos/simpleRecorder.html
2.Play back .flv file with VLC
3.No sound seems to have been recorded?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'd expect there to be sound. There is no sound.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Red5 1.0.2 "Snapshot" (18 April 2013).
Installed using windows installer. Win7 64 bit. Tried in Firefox, IE9 and IE10

Please provide any additional information below.
Well done in fixing the prematurely short recording issue.. just the sound
issue now..

Cheers,

VLC for sure doesn't play flv's with Speex audio; run the video through
OflaDemo and you'll hear the audio play as expected.

I tried running my FLVs recorded using SImpleRecorder through the OflaDemo but
still didn't hear any sound?? The Hobbit and StarTrek flvs did have sound
though so it looks like sound isn't being recorded on the SimpleRecorder in
this version?

Could you please try to replicate on your end using the 1.0.2 snapshot version?
My microphone seems to be working fine.

Thanks,

Apologies, the issue is with me. The wrong microphone was selected in Flash
settings.

It's working now.
