Unable to connect MB Lan 2 #9

I am trying to connect with the examples you are providing. With and without hyphen. Nothing works. I have a MB Lan 2 (hardware version: iCom_Low_v1 and firmware 01.10.03). Should I connect with IVT or Nefit? Should I use the accessKey and password of the sticker on the module? or the new username and password that I had to configure using the app?

Could you help me pointing in the right direction?

robertklep commented 4 years ago

I have no idea of that module is supported, or if it even works the same way as other Bosch/Nefit devices, nor do I have access to one.

If your device doesn't have three credentials (access key, serial number and password), chances are that it's just not supported.

geertsmichael commented 4 years ago

I have these 3 credentials and I am using the Bosch EasyRemote app for IOS. I saw this device is listed under in your readme: Junkers Bosch MB LANi/MB LAN2

That's why I thought it is supported.

Do you enter these credentials with hyphens or without? And the original credentials or the one you changed in the app?

Yeah, sorry, I answered a bit too quickly 😅 If it's listed as being supported, it means that at least someone has gotten it to work with that module and let me know about it.

It's very likely that you need to use the IVT driver.

What specific errors do you get?

geertsmichael commented 4 years ago

The error I got is: "XMPP authentication failure". I tried with a tons of combinations, original password, my new password. Also with and without hyphens, ...

robertklep commented 4 years ago

For XMPP authentication, only the serial number and the access key are used (password is used for encrypting/decrypting the data, but the client first has to log in to the XMPP server).

For the Nefit device that I had, the serial number and access key were printed on the packaging, and during device setup I had to enter an additional password. So those are the three credentials for Nefit devices.

For IVT devices, the people that have tested it typically have a serial number that consists of 9 digits and an access key that consists of both digits and upper- and lowercase letters (16 in total, grouped in four with hyphens in between).

Small update, MB LAN 2 is an ivt device. in my case serial is middle section of the serial printed on the device (9 digits), access-key is the access-key taken from the device without hyphens (16 characters/digits) , password is the password set during setting up application "EasyRemote" (android).
