Editing anything wipes save

I ran out of cores a few days ago and decided to edit in myself some more. After editing, saving, closing, and loading, I am greeted with the new player screen and the tutorial. Looking at my save folder reveals that my save was reset for whatever reason. If it wasn't for the save backup feature I would have lost everything. To test, I edited the number of error cubes in a backup save and looked at it thru the game's restore save menu, and saw that it got wiped too. I believe the latest update has broken something...

You have to click in the top left and open your save file from there, then click save and it will work. To get your progress back there is an option in-game to select an old save. Do the selecting old save first then do the open save file second.

Really? I did what I said and It worked for me. Interesting. Well you can at least get your old data back.
