C9X "quit unexpectedly" on OS X 10.5.8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Installed as expected, first 0.97; that version installed fine but then 
"quits unexpectedly" at launch.
2. Attempted to upgrade to different versions (1.09; 1.13; 1.21)- That told me 
I didn't have enough privilege to copy the file over; Finally with version 1.21 
I found a solution to that (erasing original, changing privileges in the 
"about", and copying over into the application folder.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected application to work
Application "quits unexpectedly" (message window)at launch

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using macpower book intel with OSX 10.5.8.
It may not be related to this software as I have a few other software that 
behave strangely. Frsky terminal tells me it cannot run on this version of mac 
OSX
I have some python apps that just refuse to run

Eepe however runs fine.

Please provide any additional information below.

From what I can see in the OSX project preferences it's being compiled for 10.6 
and later. Not sure we can do something.
