Launch System Preferences from the Apple menu
Choose “Security & Privacy” and then click the “General” tab, followed
by clicking the lock icon in the corner to unlock the settings
Look for “Allow applications downloaded from:” and choose “Anywhere”
Accept the security warning and allow
You can now run the installer

Furthermore there is a very little will to pay the apple tax...
99$ per year to provide a signed open source program is too much...
Apple should be happy to offer her user a wide range of programs with
incentives to open source development.

Ah, yeah, I forgot about Gatekeeper. Installing 10.9 must have reset it to
default. Thanks for the help. I respect your opinion about the dev cost.
