What does everyone think regarding browser support?
Clearly it's important that as many people as possible can access the website particularly in situation countries, but "Support" = progressive enhancement = displays correctly and core functions work
Google Chrome (33%) Firefox (19%) Safari (14%) IE 8 (8%) IE 10 (7%) IE 9 (5%)
These don't make the cut according to the 2% idea Opera (1%) IE 7 (1%) Chrome Mobile (1%) Nokia S40 Browser (1%) BlackBerry Browser (0%) IE 6 (0%) IE 11 (0%)
See these links for more thinking:

Here's a bit more detail from the discovery phase:
That looks like a good list to me. Officially, SharePoint 2013 does not support IE7 and below, so those users will actually have a lot of trouble (and accompanying warning messages) if they visit the site. IE8/9 users will have an accessible, but possibly different experience, but we can definitely make it work well for those users.
Thanks. Adding a note about the in the field testing (which MJ mentioned):
Page weight is important for slow connections. Also need to check on minimum browser requirements.
Is there anything we can do to finesse the experience for IE6/IE7 users?
Adding a note from some research. Opera has over 40% of the share in Kenya:
There is an Opera emulator https://dev.opera.com/articles/installing-opera-mini-on-your-computer/ but it might be worth getting hold of a Nokia S40 or something similar for testing given it’s prevalence and the importance of Kenya.
