Maybe instead of "Report an error" we could make a more generic "feedback" form. Report an error seems very specific, and a "feedback" button may allow us to collect more user comments.

The idea was to channel a particular type of feedback:

Here's an example at the bottom of this page: https://www.gov.uk/browse/driving (and almost all pages of gov.uk).

A simple link which opens to a form, but the phrasing / framing is constructive ("Help us improve") rather than simply feedback which can - in the ICC context - lead to a certain type of response.

I like the idea of changing the text to "Help us improve" or "Is there anything wrong with this page?" The phrasing seems more friendly and inviting to actually entice users to provide meaningful feedback.

Discussion this week at the ICC. "Report an error" seems more acceptable for various reasons:

If we consider it to be part of the footer - although in reality it will sit just above it - it can be in the master template and will appear in a consistent place on every page. Does that sound OK? Happy to discuss/explain further ...

It would also be great to hear any thoughts on a way to manage responses submitted via this form. Does Sharepoint 2013 have anything built in?
