When cloning a large group (~hundreds of points), there can be a significant delay (single-digit seconds). It would be helpful to have an indicator that the cloning is occurring.
If other operations cannot happen at the same time (I'm guessing that this is the case), some form of popup that doesn't allow interaction would likely be helpful.
