Only add newline when needed #170

This should fix #168. As @robhagemans indicated in that issue, thorough testing of this change is needed.

My apologies for the close/reopen noise. It slipped my mind that me renaming the misspelled branch name in my fork would close the PR that's attached to it.

Closing this because the existing behaviour is according to GW-BASIC documentation and confirmed in a low-level VM.
