Just to make it easier for those with less programming experience you may
want to add the following extra dependences. 

cmake
gcc
gcc-c++

It may be obvious for most of us but to the uninitiated they may just give
up when cmake gives funny error messages.

Yes ! Absolutely. 

I am thinking about pam-face-authentication.org - wiki with FAQ/Installation
Instruction Per Distribution etc.

I will fix the blog over the weekend and try to book that domain.
