I’m not quite sure wether [[Category:Uploaded with LrMediaWiki]]
makes sense. Maybe [[Category:Reuploaded with LrMediaWiki]]
?
Anyway, this requires an additional API query, so it may take some time for me to implement this.
Reuploaded would imply that the same file has already been uploaded, which might not necessarily be the case for overwritten files. Other than that, my concern is about keeping track of the total number of files that have been uploaded via LrMediaWiki. Given that several of our statistical tools rely on categories, it would be useful to display this fact through any kind of category.
@christophbraun I see your point. But on the other hand, I think it would not be appropriate to imply that a file has been uploaded with LrMediaWiki if only a retouched version was.
It seems, this discussion did not lead to a result yet. How should we proceed with this theme?
Due to the lack of discussion, the impression arises that the need is low.
The current result for uploading a new version over an existing file is this: https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File%3ASandsteinpfosten_Schloss_Jest%C3%A4dt%2C_Hessen%2C_Deutschland%2C_IMG_1067_68_69_70_71_72_edit.jpg&diff=134957396&oldid=113569256
I'd suggest to automatically add Category:Uploaded with LrMediaWiki in these cases.
