• Car model and year: Vw Golf MK8 GTE 2021
• Country where the car was bought: Malta
• Valid We Connect subscription: Y
• Have you verified that the We Connect service works via VW´s portal?: Y

Describe the bug

Im trying to login yet i get an error. In the logs i have this: This error originated from a custom integration.

Steps to Reproduce

Simply setting up the integration initially and entering all the data and click submit.

Expected behavior

It used to just work after this step, it should be showing the car and the sensor.

after clicking on the link, there is a message directly there with a description of which integration to use and what small changes in the code must be made (for example in the "File Editor") there are 2 lines that must be corrected to work for e-UP! save/restart select integration and log in...

Are you filling in the correct integration? Not "We Connect", but "Volkswagen We Connect ID", I logged in fine (to the VolksWagen We Connect ID), but I couldn't log in to the original WeConnect integration.

I have got the same/similar problem. I can login via myvolkswagen.net and via the weconnect app. Tronly app I'm using are also logs in. Only the HA intergration there have the problem.

The App connetion „WeConnect“ is working very good. Only in Home-assist dosen´d working in Germany. The Skoda App is working also in Home assist.

How can you close this issue??? The other intregration ("Volkswagen We Connect ID"), despite working properly with my Golf car, doesn't provide all the info required (e.g. no fuel level, no range for electric Km... and many others and doesn't provide the functionality to use the SPIN to lock and unlock the car).

Why people here tend to close bugs instead of solving things?

In fact you should close this as a duplicate of #493, not as resolved.

I used the vw id integration for my mk8 golf gte. All i had to do is add "Golf" to the list of supported vehicles.

I have done the same, but that integration provides a lot of "unavailable" sensors, doesn't provide last trip data (eletric / petrol), it is very slow to launch sometimes (with errors on the HA logs) and doesn't allow to lock/unlock doors with S-PIN, as @StefanoGiu correctly pointed out.

The two integrations are not even comparable! Anyway, this issue is a duplicate of #493 and this is a fact.

Why people here tend to close bugs instead of solving things?

@nzneil22 is not the developer, but a user like me and you. So he probably cannot fix the issue, the developer has to (try) to do it.

2. I can login to https://vwid.vwgroup.io/ which redirects to https://identity.vwgroup.io/ for login.
3. Also Homey integration is working https://homey.app/en-ca/app/com.we-volkswagen.connect/VW-We-Connect/, so I guess it must be some issue with this integration.

I have exactly the same problem with my Passat GTE. I live in DK (Denmark), It started few days ago with unknown sensors. I tryed to remove the intergation (v4.4.64) and install it again without luck. I also try to install the v4.4.63 and beta v.4.4.65-beta 1 integration but still the same problem.

I get this message in the HA log. This error originated from a custom integration.

This issue is a I see is happens because of an API token is invalid in this modul: https://github.com/robinostlund/volkswagencarnet.

As this module has been unchanges for more than a year - it tells me the issue is related to the token get and validate process. Sadly I don't have the skills to fix the issue. Robin there has done the module, orignal has ask for help, as he don't seems to have a Volkswagen any more.

Until then I don't expect this HA version will work.

Hi, can someone try the latest version. @beschoenen found out that the client id had changed so the latest version should have a new client id :).

I don't have a car which is supported by this integration anymore so that is why i have issues with helping out with maintaining it.
