[Trac time 20070310 212457Z] Opening about:untitled on win shows the windows text icon, but saving results in unix line endings.

removed PyPE compatibility attribute "format" from PeppyBaseSTC
added getLinesep method
removed PyPE compatibility method getNumWin from Major and moved it to the codetree adapter
