Augmentation #9

As I wrote before, we are making a ride-able donkeycar using the mobile App. Thank you very much again. When we were using the donkeycar last week end, we found out that there are some cases of difficulties to learn and auto-pilot the car when direct sunshine lights the course. We were taught that augmentation is effective for this problem, if the donkeycar version >= 4.3, in our community. However, I could not find out the augmentation option in myconfig.py The donkey car version for the mobile app is greater or equal to 4.3? If so, where we set the augmentation option? The latest donkeycar image runs 4.3.22. You can do the configuration by adding lines in myconfig.py. The training service honor the myconfig.py to some extent. Please try and get back to us if you have any question.

The Donkey HAT has arrived a day before yesterday, and we could logging in the new version of the donkeycar-images last night. Thank you. I noticed the myconfig.py file in the mycar folder changed so much. The file seems, it is for the MM1 board. Unfortunately, We would like to use PCA9685. Can we use this myconfig.py for the PCA9685? Or, how we change the myconfig.py for the PCA9685? Regards, Takashi.

the latest donkeycar-images is designed for Donkey HAT. You just need to use the latest image and then update donkeycar software using the App.

Donkey Car App->Advance -> Update donkey

avoid modifying the code before you update donkey. Otherwise you need to do a manual git pull under ~/donkeycar and also do a donkey createapp --path ~/mycar --overwrite. Note that this will reset your manage.py. Backup your code if you haven't done so.
