Unannotated image from chess sample data not found in Assign tab #6

Describe the bug When I upload the 12 images from the Chess Sample Data as part of the tutorial workflow, the Annotate tab indicates that there is one unannotated image (Unannotated panel indicates 1 image), but the Assign tab does not find this image (shows message stating "There are currently no unassigned images in this project."). This persists over 24 hours later. Note this bug is not always reproducible, but I have reproduced it 5+ times and on different days over the past week or so.

To Reproduce

  1. Create New Project (Object Detection, 'dogs', 'Test')
  2. Drag in chessSampleData folder to upload 12 images -> Save and Continue -> accept default splits.
  3. When prompted, do not assign the unannotated image "5c1.jpg". Instead, click the Assign, Annotate, or Dataset tab. (Alternatively, do assign the image when prompted, but do not complete the annotation in the next step. Instead, navigate to the other tabs. The assigned job will disappear from Annotate tab, as shown in linked video).

Expected behavior The unannotated image, which is detected in Annotate tab, should be available in the Assign tab. Also a previously assigned job should not disappear.

Additional context Note not 100% reproducible. Often the Unannotated image is available immediately, or becomes available after a few minutes. However it did affect my very first experience with the tutorial, which was not great.
