I was hoping to use this tool to help with an issue I have. I want to transfer my save files from the Epic Game Store version I started playing to the version I later purchased on steam.
Simply moving the save files over from the EGS version's save dir location to the Steam version's save dir location works only partially.
My roster is still there with its resolve level, quirks, diseases, armor and weapon upgrades... but everything else seems to be reset. It says the week is 0 (while it is actually 22), all hamlet buildings are locked, all quest progress from the care taker's list is gone, all journal pages are missing and the like.
When I load the Steam version's save dir in the editor the files all still seam to show above mentioned progress that I achieved with the EGS version. But in game the Steam version still locks me out of buildings and is missing other things as described above.
Only real difference I can spot between the versions is that EGS offers Darkest Dungeon in verion 25682, while Steam ships version 25721. Is any sort of conversion required?
Have you encountered something like this?
