When I go to http://www.robotlegs.org, I get This site can’t be reached. Why?

darscan commented 6 years ago

The box it was on is gone (hosting provider went out of business). I managed to grab a backup before it disappeared, and when I've got time I'll try get it back online somewhere

actionsmile commented 6 years ago

How about to host this project on github.io? Seems very comfy for me, especially if we talking about open-source…

darscan commented 6 years ago

Thanks, will look into that

esidegallery commented 6 years ago

That would be great - I still occasionally need to use the forum!

quantuminformation commented 5 years ago

Good to see this still being around.

chrisvelevitch commented 5 years ago

How's it going? It's been 6 months since you said you'll try to get it up and running again. The site contains a lot of valuable resources and discussions that I'd like to see and re-read.

thipages commented 5 years ago

yep. If you need help dont hesitate

Howdy folks. Sooo... the old site is currently unresurrectable. I might be able to get it back on line at some point, but not any time soon 😿

In the meantime I managed to find the old knowledge-base. It had a custom domain (knowledge.robotlegs.org) which I've removed to make it accessible again:

https://robotlegs.tenderapp.com/

Hopefully that gets us partway there. Sorry for being so slack on this.. life/work/the-old-site-was-a-mutant-hybrid-of-hand-rolled-tomfoolery-split-across-some-retired-vps-and-gh-pages-with-some-weird-dns-rules-and-such etc

chrisvelevitch commented 5 years ago

Thanks for that.

Is the old domain still available because the discussions and articles contain links using the old domain?

darscan commented 5 years ago

I've still got the domain, but it's invalidly pointing to some non-existent nameservers :/

darscan commented 5 years ago

discussions and articles contain links using the old domain?

@chrisvelevitch Could you point me at an example of this so I can see how to resolve? Thanks

Try https://robotlegs.tenderapp.com/discussions/robotlegs-2/28799-injectviewas-in-rl2 and look at the links included in Ondina's response.

darscan commented 5 years ago

Thanks! Those are going to be tricky :/
