iCubSingapore01 S/N:035 – right thumb cannot initialize in yarprobotinterface #1687

Request/Failure description

In yarprobotinterface, the thumb_proximal and thumb_distal of right hand do not move

Detailed context

When it initializes in yarprobotinterface, the thumb_proximal and thumb_distal of right hand do not move and I can hear the sound of motor. And it seems no tendon broken in my view(I am new to icub, if there is anything I miss, please tell me). If I manually put the thumb into initializing position, it can complete the initializing procedure. And it seems normal in yarpmotorgui, but them will not move if I drag the button.

How does it affect you?

The procedure of yarprobotinferface cannot proceed as usual.

Hi @Yujia-Zhang0913. To check if the tendons are broken you can start by removing the cover and physically look on the engine pulley if there are any anomalies. If the tendons were broken I attach the official guide with the explanation of the procedure:
