I sent an email to Xsens related to this. Given that there are countless copies of these files distributed over the net (see https://github.com/search?q=BETWEEN+XSENS+AS+LICENSOR+AND+THE+AUTHORIZED+%09LICENSEE+UNDER+THE+AGREEMENT.+THE+CODE+MUST+BE+USED+SOLELY&type=Code&utf8=%E2%9C%93 ) I hope the restrictive license is just a left-over.

Indeed, the restrictive license is just a left over. A new SDK should come out soon with an updated licence. Open sourcing the repository anyway in the meanwhile.
