with timeouts and such, we should revise/rethink what the protocol is supposed to deliver (it also changed over time):

what should happen when the server restarts?
what should happen if the worker exits?
what about timeout (with current main branch: server sets one to one hour, worker runs in "timeout 1h")

make also sure that sockets are cleaned up appropriately (esp. in the server).

It is fine as is. If we encounter issues, let's fix them. But let's avoid premature issues and work on it.
