Launching chrome with Gmail as a pinned tab doesn't activate all minimalist changes #301

What is the problem? Describe completely:

Minimalist version   - 0.67
Relevant core module - Gmail
Chrome version       - 24.0.1312.57 m
Operating System     - Windows 7
Language             - English (Uk)
Google Apps user?    - Yes
Other extensions     - LastPass, Any Do, Pocket, FlashBlock

I have Gmail as a pinned tab. If I close chrome and re launch it when Gmail 
loads not all the minimalist options are applied. For example when viewing a 
message the sidebar is still present and the footer space remaining information 
is still visible.

When I close the pinned tab and reopen it it works correctly.

All that's necessary is a refresh. What's happening is that Gmail is loading 
before Minimalist does when the browser starts. There is nothing I can do if 
the extension isn't loaded yet. Optionally, I could make Minimalist refresh 
tabs that it had active modules for and that were loaded before it loaded. 
However this will not be possible until Chrome allows persistent background 
pages in extensions
