Allow Custom Toolbar Icons #303

I use Google Apps Mail heavily at work and at home, yet I still accidentally 
click the 'Spam' icon instead of 'Trash' once every couple of days.

'Undo' allows me to get out of this mess easily, but it bugs me that the icons 
are too similar for me to distinguish at half a glance. I need colour!

Please could you allow custom toolbar icons to be entered, or background 
colours etc for the buttons to be set?

Have you tried using the text icons? Button Labels > Text in Gmail settings
