It's strangely counter to the minimalist idea to show an icon everywhere :-)

How about making it an option? That way if you want to create a new module you 
just need to enable that. I don't think I'll ever create a new module...

I would add an option if I could but Chrome won't allow it. If an extension can 
act on any page, the extension development guidelines state that it should use 
a Browser Action and not a Page Action. The extension cannot hide browser 
actions (I could make it transparent but there would still be a space.)

  1) If there every comes a way to do this, I will
  2) You, the user, can hide Browser Actions but collapsing your icon area and moving it into the overflow section
  3) I have purposefully made the icon as unobtrusive as possible when there is not an active module on the current page.

Oh now I understand... too bad :-(

I guess that Chrome will fix this when this becomes too much of an issue.
