I took those files from your deb package. I suggest to keep those in your upstream repo since it will help packagers from all distributions to keep consistency (and not reinventing the wheel).
I added to the desktop file a French "Generic Name" and "Comment" for the users with French locales.
I changed the category "AudioEditing" to "AudioVideoEditing" since Lintian (Debian packaging helping tool) complains that AudioEditing doesn't exists while AudioVideoEditing exists.
