I tried running the app with OpenStream and Sunshine on my PC and every time I get this error, I tried every resolution and framerate combination, h.264 and 265 on both the Moonlight client and on my PC and still nothing, did anyone else have this problem? I tried all the same settings on my phone and it works with no issues

Hi! I don't tested this on a Sunshine, but latest builds has an Ignore unsupported resolutions feature in Settings, may it help.

tribes33 commented 3 years ago

I just tried a new build and toggled the feature on but still didn't work, I guess because I'm using an AMD GPU it won't work, weird though because it works just fine on my phone

Alright did some testing here. I am running Sunshine on Linux and am able to load my Desktop/Low Res Desktop in 1080p at 60 FPS. I disabled Use Streaming Optimal Playable Settings and everything seems to work after that! Steam Big Picture doesn't work, but I'm able to stream from steam once I've opened it manually on my PC.

What specs have you got on your PC? Maybe it depends on GPU, Im running a Ryzen 5 3600 and a Vega 64, I might try again but I didnt have any luck last time I tried

Asara commented 3 years ago

Ryzen 5 3600X with an RX 480

Edit: the disabling of Use Streaming Optimal Playable Settings along with enabling Ignore unsupported resolutions was what I did.

I tried disabling of Use Streaming Optimal Playable Settings along with enabling Ignore unsupported resolutions And when I load Desktop OpenStream , show the Error message:"Weird server reply"

Thank you. This solution works fine!

An annoying bug that suddenly appeared for me after a windows reinstall I had to go into config>Audio/Video And add my device's resolution even though it was already there... After a Sunshine restart Moonlight started working
