There have been changes in u-boot master which allow, for one, you to build
the internal libfdt stuff if you have libfdt-devel installed on your system or the
equivalent on your distro (whatever package provides /usr/include/libfdt.h or
/usr/include/libfdt_env.h).
As of right now, your fork is not buildable on gentoo if you have sys-apps/dtc
installed, which is required if you have qemu built for arm, microblaze, mips,
and ppc installed.
