remove underscore from sql-bricks codebase

remove underscore from the sql-bricks codebase.

There's quite a bit more work to do to finish this off, but this should be a good start todo:

• [ ] remove dry between tests & sql-bricks code
• [ ] ensure the changes work downstream (all I did was ensure tests passed)
