Hi, all! I've managed to correctly install MO2 (it launches whenever i start Fallout 4 inside Steam) but i don't know how to install F4SE, an important requirements to load mods. Thus far i've tried:

Thanks in advance!

The way I launched Fallout 4 was by deleting F4SE from the root folder, starting Fallout 4 through Steam, then adding F4SE back into the root folder when MO2 loaded, then adding it to the list of applications in MO2's menu. Hope this fixes your problem.

Just in case anyone searches for this (like I did) and cannot find a solution that works, I've finally managed to work around this. You can ignore or delete the f4se_0_06_21 folder that this script creates inside the game directory. Install the newest F4SE as you normally would, but rename f4se_loader.exe to something like f4se_loader_alt.exe then add that binary to MO2. Everything works as originally anticipated.

If it looks stupid, but it works, then it's not stupid.

Installer should automatically handle F4SE, which got updated in the latest release. If the latest release can't get it working out of the box, let me know and I'll reopen the issue.

Hello, I managed to get F4SE working.

  1. Move everything from f4se_0_06_21 folder, to the game's root folder
  2. Overwrite if needed
  3. In MO2, add f4se_loader.exe executable
  4. Enjoy (You can delete the empty F4se folder)

At least it worked on my PC.
