OI File Manager: Better visibility for multi-select selection

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. OI File Manager > menu > multi select.
2. Select a few files.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Selected items are slightly greyed. The visibility of selected items could be 
improved.

It could be a check mark, but that takes up space.
Alternatively, it could be indicated through a change in the background.

A small checkmark as used in the Google Mail application could be useful.
