Who is your contact person for this task?

Alvaro Shelter Cluster Coordinator Mozambique

User Story

As a Shelter Cluster Coordinator I want to have a map showing different levels and types of shelter vulnerability So that I advocate for residual needs from CFF (natural hazards)

UPDATE: the best format for this would be a webmap where the user can toggle layers on and off

@heleenelenbaas I made the edits for the classification but the final legend looks like this unfortunately:

The maps have a better balance of colors though. What do you think?

And for embedding the webmap, do you have access to the webserver where the website is hosted?

heleenelenbaas commented 5 months ago

Map is finished and well received, but because the html file is quite heavy, difficult to share with partners and takes a long time to open and to load, it is not super easy to work with. I asked Neil if it is possible to embed local offline html files into the GSC website as an iframe, and he was going to look at it. This was right before the christmas break so I have not followed up with him. Worth checking if this is possible, but if not I think we unfortunately cannot make it easier to work with.

If thats not possible, one potential last thing to check before closing this task is to look at the option of QGIS webmaps. I know that @boukepieter you used QGIS webmap for the building damage during your deployment in Turkiye, perhaps this is a potential final solution? Maybe @meldroog already looked at this, but I am not sure anymore
