will be nice to have the ability to configure and select via RC or switch different types of osd layouts just like current FC firmwares do like Betaflight , inav and Ardupilot
user dino.de already had implemented a switchable OSD with multiple screens (including a fancy Radar map). The code was donated to the project but discarded by rodizio at the time. This is also the reason why "GroundSwitches" make perfect sense because you can change OSD screens at the flick of a switch on your Taranis (without loosing any of your RC channels) ;-)
I propose decluttering the OSD by only showing certain information when it reaches certain limits. I personally don’t use the OSD very much as I like fpv-vr app and goggles but it seems that the OSD is very busy with data geared more towards testing.
Pi temperatures, Bitrate, RSSI, Lost blocks, dbi, Satellites, could all be monitored and then when a certain value is reached display in yellow caution and if it gets worse in red.
While on the subject of the OSD, I keep seeing in the forum that flight modes for various flight controllers do not display correctly and there still seems to be issues with the return to home arrow. Thoughts?
