[x] The time-integration routine appears to be somewhat slow in Julia. It should be profiled to see whether there are bottlenecks which can be improved in speed.
[x] Problem turns out to be recursion. Implementing non-recursive version with pseudocode Kuncir (1962).
[x] Profile, and compare timing and precision with Batman/Starry.

Non-recursive Kuncir algorithm seems to improve speed of time integration. Closing this issue for now.
