Please, would it be possible to add a printer under my own name from the interface? Of course it can be done from the terminal, but it would be more convenient from the interface. And another thing, would it be possible to specify an immutable name for the file that PDFWriter creates, or other file naming options? Thanks

All printer names can be changed in Settings. Just select the printer and change the name in the same way you change the name of a file.

Having an immutable name for the file the printer creates is a bad idea. It would mean that the produced file overwrites the previously printed file.

Naming options at print time are possible - but if you want that, use any other printer and choose save as PDF from the print dialog.
