To have a consistent basis to discuss, switching to Redhat as all other participants.

Preinstall checks completed
Mysql installation completed
Replication still not working, however remote access from one Mysql server to the other one does!
Installation of CM:
- Java (oracle-j2sdk1.7) installed, JAVA_HOME set
- scm_prepare_database.sh executed, "SCM database configured correctly" (incl. privileges)
- other databases for services created
- cm status: "cloudera-scm-server (pid 27429) is running..."

However: http://35.156.75.11:7180/cmf doesn't show CM

You can check the CM server log for a line that container INFO WebServerImpl:com.cloudera.server.cmf.WebServerImpl: Started Jetty server.. If you don't see this, the startup process did not get far enough along to render the UI.

CM is now running (incl. GUI) without doing anything. Obviously it took too long yesterday evening. Graphical installation is running :-)
