I can't open brave browser with proxychains

Tried lots of different proxies with proxy_dns turned off but I can't browse

lines like [proxychains] Strict chain ... 68.71.249.153:48606 ... 44.231.4.201:443 ... OK show you that proxychains works as expected. your issue lies elsewhere - maybe the proxies you use inject faulty certificates to MITM your connection.

I found them here https://proxyscrape.com/free-proxy-list. And all of their proxies show the same issue are they malicious?

you cant trust proxies from "free" lists. if you want to find out whether proxychains-ng works with your app of choice, use a proxy that you control. for example tor, microsocks, or tinyproxy running on localhost or some cloud server you control.
