Birdview or grid view of cameras would be a nice addition to this, so we can see all the attached cameras in realtime?

Definitely, this is on the roadmap for a future release.

I am currently working on 24/7 recordings which means a lot of changes. It should be ready for testing in a matter of weeks at this point.

After that i have plans to improve the live streaming experience (today it is just low quality MJPEG streams), and with this i can definitely look into this kind of view
