What is the issue in the broadest sense?

Would like to find a scale that contains a certain list of notes

How do you propose we solve this issue?

Return scales from FindScales(list_of_notes, [restriction type])

--restriction type for limiting to only Major, Minor, etc.  Don't search
every wacky type of scale.
