I fried my maple mini trying to get it to work on COM port #812

Hi,

I got my 1st maple mini which I just fried, and recently bought couple ones.

I was having issues trying to upload a sketch to the board, I learned these days that it's actually stuck at DFU mode and it's not on a COM port which Arduino can talk to it.

I read a method for you to unplug the board, ask Arduino IDE to upload a sketch then plug the board and it worked.

But I was trying this morning to get it to work directly without unplug/plug method. I was playing with the method mentioned in leaflaps that put the board in perceptual mode.

There are fast 6 blinks and 6 slow, I think I pressed the 'but=32' during the fast 6 blink and heard a crack and burnt smell.

What is the reason for that ?

Anyway I have couple new ones that don't have this problem and would upload a sketch without issues and I hope they don't get stuck at DFU mode like this one.

As this does not seem to be a bug in the core, please use as reference the forum: https://www.stm32duino.com And provide there more information (link to the board you use, and which upload method you did try).

OK, thanks. Anyway the board is fried I don't know what is broken but I think it's the mcu chip since I tested the voltage regulator and the other semiconductor but they are OK. I don't know if it's worth buying some stm32 chip and replace this one :)
