Name files with trinomials, scientific names but rank species. have a validation or block that stops those being autocreated.

I don't think those words mean what you think they mean. You shouldn't be able to create species with trinomials. Could you give an example to work through?

Name files with trinomial scientific names and rank species - creates a species record and hides the species epithet and picks the 3rd epithet as the species name and hides the species epithet in the data. Some sort of validation to block autocreating trinomials as species.
