A new feature is coming with 1.5 😇
Hi @hahny93 I've just released MacsyZones v1.5 with the new Quick Snapper. You can check if it is the thing you want, if it is not exactly, I'll look for that FancyZones thing later.
Oh... I've looked at that FancyZones feature. Let's wait for next versions for this.
For now, you can design your layouts for this purpose implicitly since MacsyZones gives you full freedom with overlapping zones.
For overlapping zones, you can use MacsyZones' Priotrize section center option; simply, you can leave to snap your window over a zones' center circle if it is placed under other zone(s).
Something like this:
In this layout design, zones 1 and 2 are placed under the zone 3; the rest of area has zone 3 .. so, when you leave your window over the left half of the screen, it will snap to zone 1 but if you leave your window (leave your mouse pointer while moving a window) on zone 1 or zone 2's center circle, it will snap your window to them.
@rohanrhu any chance of having this behavior in FancyZones? Super+Arrows to move windows or Super+Shift+Arrows to expand them across zones?

Oh now I understood that. I can plan this for the next version.
Hi, in Fancy Zones I'm able to drag a window across multiple zones with an additional modifier (Shift+Ctrl, e.g.) to make a single window occupy multiple zones at once and thus get more possible outcomes of one layout.
See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/fancyzones#snapping-to-multiple-zones
Very useful when using ultra-widescreen (21:9 or 32:9) monitors.
Thanks a lot!
