I can see that I am going over budget in the view budget. But shouldn't the program alert me that I am going past my budget when keying in my expenses? This function could play a bigger role

Team's Response

Although you are right that CashLeh? does not warn the user about his or her eventual budget deficit when inputting new transactions, the viewBudget command is simply supposed to summarise the financial situation with respect to the budget in this current version of the app. Future versions may add features such as warnings when hitting critical levels at the user transaction input stage or maybe even categorical blocks, where no more expenses can be added before adding any incomes. Similarly, also breakdowns by category or date will be added later on.
