Ensure my new repo gets properly installed in the yocto build.

DoD: A basic script will be installed/ran upon startup as proof. Blockers: Navigating the Yocto config environment: #1

After many iterations of time consuming yocto builds, I realized the fundamental problems with my understanding of how yocto works and how to import layers. cleaned everything up and have successfully included systemd. consider going back and re-opening of the ethernet issue if we have time.
