[Snyk] Security upgrade pymdown-extensions from 8.2 to 10.0 #161

Closed snyk-bot closed 1 year ago

snyk-bot commented 1 year ago

Snyk has created this PR to fix one or more vulnerable packages in the `pip` dependencies of this project.

Changes included in this PR

Vulnerabilities that will be fixed

By pinning:
Severity Issue Upgrade Breaking Change Exploit Maturity
medium severity Arbitrary File Read
SNYK-PYTHON-PYMDOWNEXTENSIONS-5537103
pymdown-extensions:
8.2 -> 10.0
No Proof of Concept

Some vulnerabilities couldn't be fully fixed and so Snyk will still find them when the project is tested again. This may be because the vulnerability existed within more than one direct dependency, but not all of the affected dependencies could be upgraded.

Check the changes in this PR to ensure they won't cause issues with your project.

Note: You are seeing this because you or someone else with access to this repository has authorized Snyk to open fix PRs.

If you are going to bump this to 10.0, I'd actually bump it to 10.0.1. 10.0 fixed the issue, but also introduced a regression that was patched in 10.0.1.

Hi @facelessuser

Thanks for reaching out.

I do not understand this PR, since I already completed the patch and used the version you mention. All based on information from Dependabot and GitHub in the security section.
