Changing the label because this is not easy. It is not clear how to handle existing .git directories. The current logic is correct, I think, but is perhaps not very user-friendly. This is related to issues 26 and 30 (coexistence with existing .git version control and merge support), neither of which are easy.

Sync'ing is now done using a separate Git directory (.ptp-sync). So this is no longer a problem (.git directories are ignored).
