these will likely only make sense to @ajrominger so don't worry about them!

simOO takes a roleFoo object, update it to take roleData and roleParams
simOO returns a list with 1 element per snapshot
w/n snapshot element are lists with all elements of roleData (but as a list, not S4)

[ ] return roleData S4 object for every snapshot
[ ] track harmonic mean, last origin, last extinction, and prop equilib in simOO
[ ] check initialization of harmonic mean, last origin, last extinction, and prop equilib in R and make sure they are properly passed to simOO
[ ] make trait data live in matrix to support multiple trait axes
