[ROM Birds 114838] Amazilia fimbriata fluviatilis - Locality and date wrong #24

Closed OACColombia closed 8 years ago

OACColombia commented 8 years ago

The Locality Canalendres is related to a waterfall near Mocoa (Putumayo), in the west slope of the Serranía de los Churumbelos; the geolocalization made here move it at southeastern more tha 100 km (at least).

Other issue is the date. Arturo Pasos is still alive, and he visit Putumayo to collect birds in since late 1950's to late 1970's.

Hi:

I recognise that this these coordinates are not for the proper locality. They are for Putumayo. I cannot identify the localtion of the waterfall. This is noted in the field georeferenceRemarks in the record. This is why the coordinates are not near Mocoa.

I have also corrected the verbatimeventDate on this record. It is 4 December, 1971
